It happened in Austria as you can see on the licenseplate of the car. The car stood still on a crosswalk of pedestrians. We saw it kind of late and bumped against the Mazda.
As you can see on my car, the bumper is folded in. not badly damaged. We where able to drive.... we where lucky the Mazda didn't had a trailerhitch, otherwise the radiator was probably damaged. Also we where lucky we didn't have to call the police, because it was in front of the police station. hmm Lucky us!!!!
The crash from beside, nothing special actually, but now you can see that the bumper isn't that badly broken, and you can see the pressure in the bonnet.
This is what you see when you open the hood. The lights are pointing another direction. And the metal above the light...the slam panel is folded in. We went to a garage in Krieglach to get a new light and to fold back the thing above the lights. We did it just to get home again. We even didn't calibrate the lights.... The only things that where important:
1) the bonnet connected to the slam panel
2) one head light
3) the bumper sticked to the car.
In this we drove from Graz to our Hotel in Alpl. We made it finally....we had to be back before the dark.... you can imagine. But now the car is sold....and I bought a new car a GTI with a leather interior..
Before the crash we kind of made a picture at a very odd place in Hungary .....near the border of Austria.
